A nuke is a single ability that delivers an exceptionally large amount of damage in one instant cast. Unlike chaining multiple abilities for burst, a nuke concentrates its power into one spell, allowing a champion to threaten enemies from long range or finish off low health targets with precision. Classic examples include Nidalee’s Javelin Toss or Karthus’s Requiem, both capable of swinging fights by themselves.
Because nukes rely heavily on timing, champions that use them often play around Cooldown, making sure the ability is ready for key moments such as early skirmishes or objective contests. Landing a nuke becomes much easier when paired with CC that locks the target in place. In coordinated fights, a well executed nuke can disrupt the enemy Backline, force them to retreat, or secure crucial kills before a fight even begins.
